We are a team of young professionals and ex law students who are simply passionate about recycling. In 2014, our founding member was an intern at a legal firm and was asked to arrange for some books to be removed to make way for a new collection. After investigating several possibilities it came to light that some books simply can’t be recycled because of the glue that binds them together. The ideas of simply throwing books away or burning them did not appeal as years or hard work had gone into compiling each and everyone of them so he had the idea to ring other law firms, local colleges and other organisations in the area to see if they would take them. A local charity who offered legal advice snapped them up and the idea was formed: We Buy Law Books began.
We now regularly receive from calls from legal firms, ex law students, colleges and universities who are looking to recycle their books and we offer a fair price, with a free collection service and prompt payment so that the seller is not out of pocket. This incentive enables us to recycle simply thousands of law books, publications and journals a year, all of them going to decent homes including newly established law firms, libraries, students, colleges and charities.
